i think a lot of ppl need to learn how to make minors feel safe online without making them feel stupid? like when i was 11/12/13 i shouldnt have been on tumblr. but i was. and everyone going “oh sweetie youre too young to be here :) go play neopets” just made me want to stay out of spite. you know what wouldve actually helped? someone approaching me and being like “hey, there are dangerous people and things on here. this probably isnt a good environment for you”. like im not saying disregard that theyre a minor here, obviously dont do that, but dont be condescending. part of keeping minors safe is treating them with respect
